How To Use

Specimen collection and Preparation: 

The urine specimen must be collected in a clean and dry container. Urine collected at any time of day can be used.  

How to Use: 

  1. Allow the test cassette, urine specimen, and/or controls to equilibrate to room temperature prior to testing.  
  2. Remove the test cassette on a clean and level surface.  
  3. Remove the cap from the end of the test card. With arrows pointing toward the urine specimen, immerse the strips of the test card vertically for at least 10-15 seconds.  
  4. Avoid trapping air bubbles in the specimen well. Place the cassette on a non-absorbent flat surface, start the timer and wait for the red line(s) to appear. The results should be read at 5 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes.  
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

NEGATIVE: Two lines appear. One red line should be in the control region (C), and another apparent red or pink line should be in the test region (T). This negative result indicates that the drug concentration is below the detectable level.  Note: The shade of red in the test (T) region may vary, but it should be considered negative whenever there is even a faint pink line. 

POSITIVE: One red line appears in the control region (C). No line appears in the test (T) region. This positive result indicates that the drug concentration is above the detectable level. 

INVALID: Control line fails to appear. Insufficient specimen volume or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for control line failure. Review the procedure and repeat the test with a new test cassette. If the problem persists, discontinue using the test kit immediately and contact supplier. 
WARNINGS
  • Store between 2 - 30 degrees C. 
  • Do not use beyond expiry date. 
  • Cassette must remain in sealed pouch until use. 
  • Adulterants such as bleach and/or alum in urine specimens may produce erroneous results. 
  • A positive result indicates presence of the drug or its metabolites but does not indicate the level of intoxication, administration route or concentration in urine. 
  • A negative result may not necessarily indicate drug-free urine. 
  • Negative results can be obtained when a drug is present but below the cut-off level of the test. 
  • The test does not distinguish between drug of abuse and certain medications.

How does the Street Drugs Urine Test work?

The test uses a competitive binding process. If a drug is present in the urine specimen below its cut-off concentration, a colored line will appear in the test line region. If the drug concentration is above the cut-off level, no line will appear, indicating a positive result.

What do I need to do before using the test?

Make sure the test panel and urine specimen are at room temperature (15-30°C). Collect the urine specimen in a clean, dry container.

How do I perform the test?

Allow the test panel, urine specimen, and /or controls to equilibrate to room temperature prior to testing.  

  1. Remove the test from the sealed pouch and use it as soon as possible. Remove the cap from the end of the test panel.  
  2. Collect urine specimen using a clean and dry cup.  
  3. With arrows pointing towards the urine specimen, immerse the strip of the test card vertically in the urine specimen for at least 10-15 seconds. Immerse the test card to at least the level of the wavy lines on the strip, but keep other parts of the test panel away from the specimen.  
  4.  Place the cassette on a non-absorbent flat surface, start the timer and wait for the red line(s) to appear. The results should be read at 5 minutes. 
  5. Results remain stable for up to 4 hours after test initiation.

In Australia, it's important to note that using or possessing illicit drugs is against the law. Avoid driving, working, or operating heavy machinery if a positive result is obtained.

How should I store the test kit?

Store the test kit at room temperature (2-30°C). Do not freeze it. Ensure the test panel remains in the sealed pouch until use. Do not use beyond the expiration date.

How do I collect a urine sample for the test?
